The park is clean and one of the best in the area. You can see the lake through the trees from some camp sites. The squirrels drop pine cones causing a few problems. The bears come out at night so you need to be careful. I made an error and wanted to extend our stay. The girls in the office were of no help, however the manager was able to solve the problem. We liked this RV park very much and got the spot we asked for. There is a restaurant right across the street along with a marina and a swimming area. The rates are different on the weekends and there is no charge for dogs. They were very dog friendly. We will be back.

The people at this park were wonderful. My son had another camp site & they got him a drill when he had a hard time putting the tent stakes in the ground. They also help him find a place for tent parts. Our site was nice & shady with a beautiful view of the hillside and creek. We liked it so much we didn't want to leave. We booked another stay with them next year. Lots of kids riding their bikes. This is a very dog friendly park.

This RV campground is within walking distance to the ocean. Our spot had a nice view of Morro Rock. The grounds were clean & the staff was nice. It would be better if there was a little grass and trees but there wasn't. We will stay here again.

This is a great place to stay if you want to be within walking distance to the town of Pismo and the beach. Dogs are very welcome. We have stayed here several times and find that there are a lot of older people that are very friendly. Some of them have purchased a membership in the RV park. They have free ice and the place is nice & clean. The one drawback is that the spaces are very tight and there is no grass or trees. The staff is friendly and helpful. They guided us into our space which was nice. We would stay here again

This RV park has an outstanding view and it is clean. We had a 4 to 5 hour drive depending on the Los Angeles traffic. We arrived at noon and check in time was 1:00 p.m. I was told to come back at 1:00 & I asked if I could pay extra to come in an hour early and was told it would be a full days rate for the one hour. We drove around and finally parked at a grocery store (pulling a trailer) to eat up the time. When we came back & checked in I told them I had 2 little dogs. They were informed of this when I made the reservation & I don't remember anything being said of the rules. We always pick up after our dogs. We were told they could only go to the bathroom in the doggie run and not in our camping site. If they were seen going to the bathroom anyplace except the designated area we would be asked to leave immediately. This was after they took our money at $130.60 per day for ocean view, 2 dogs tax and everything. For 4 days we carried our dogs to the doggie run and let them walk back when we knew they wouldn't do anything on the driveway or next to our trailer. There were signs all around the office and grass no dogs allowed. The front camp sites with the beautiful view have a lot of vehicle noise from a 4 lane road. I would not stay here again under this management.

This camp ground is right next to Magic Mountain entertainment park. It is also close to the William S Hart museum. This RV park is good for a short stay. While we were there we watched them film a show for the animal channel. A gal does a show on dog behavior. The RV park was nice to let them use their area. I would stay here again,

The park was very clean. There were privacy bushes between most sites. The higher sites have a limited ocean view. Not all sites have an ocean view as was stated over the phone. There is some traffic noise since it is close to highway 101. We were there over a holiday weekend so the price was higher. This is a very expensive park but was very nice and only a couple of years old. The people at the desk were very helpful. One good thing is that you can ask for a certain site and they will guarantee it. There is a lot of lighting at night so we felt very safe. The hookups were very convenient. I will stay here again.

This is not a resort. It was a big gravel area with nothing between the camping sights. The Russian River was similar to a canal. The steps going to the water were destroyed and you couldn't get to the water if you had to. There were about 30 to 40 very old trailers that were permanent. There might have been 6 or 7 of us that weren't permanent. The noise from the road was terrible. The fellow that checked us in was very nice. They had the ice and drinks we needed. We had a site next to the water with trees. We would not stay here again.

The park was nice and clean. The spaces were large and had a lot of trees and bushes between the sites. Everything was great except the person at the front desk. We asked for things to do and she handed us a square dancing brochure. She was just indifferent. We then went into town to get the local attractions. We would stay there again.

This park had several different areas. There were the regular RV sites in the gravel with little shade. There were RV sites in a meadow with lots of shade and then a lot of tent areas. There is a large area about 3 acres for football, soccer, badminton and anything you would want to play. The management was extremely helpful. We asked to purchase some salmon and they found a fisherman quickly that was willing to sell his fresh fish. They were wonderful to take the time and give us directions. The Saturday night BBQ was fun and we enjoyed the entertainment. We were going to use the laundry room but it had more broken washers than working ones. A fellow in a tear drop trailer said the bathrooms were dirty and upon request they cleaned them immediately. The electrical where we were parked needed repair. We tried to walk to the Klamath River from our camp site which we were told we could do; turned out to be too muddy to navigate.

We arrived around 7:30 in the evening. The kids filled the RV streets with their bikes. It was really hard backing in & trying not to hit one of them. The space we had was really tight. We couldn't get our outside mat completely laid out because it was so tight. On the other side of the resort there are larger spaces which I would request in the future. One night the sprinklers came on & got a lot of items wet. Notice of this would have been appreciated. This resort is like a town. It has a store, restaurant, laundry, bike rentals, and about everything you need. It is about 4 blocks from downtown Pismo and all the restaurants. It was an easy walk for us. The ocean is just over one of the dunes. You can walk all the way to the pier on the sand. They have horseshoes, shuffle board, and a big pool. It is fairly clean, however we did need to pick up cigarette buts at our sight. The security is very tight. They have a gate which everyone must go through and they are constantly going through the park checking the area. We would stay there again only with a bigger site.

They were extremely nice. The great grandson "Smith" offered to park our trailer & we accepted. Out site was nice & shady as we requested overlooking the San Lorenzo river. There are some that get full sun & are close. Be exact as to what you want. There are several miles of hiking trails that are a quick access from the RV park. The area is just beautiful & they keep it clean. They just started taking credit cards. Many people were booking for next year. We are returning in September 2009 for another great stay.

The park was clean. The spaces are very tight and you are close to your neighbor. The staff was nice. The park is older. Our TV and water hook up was behind the trailer next to us. Our water barely reached but the TV cable didn't. I asked to borrow one from the RV park and they gave us a 15 foot and it didn't reach. We purchased a 45 foot cable the next day and it did reach. The answer is to be prepared for anything. They offer free ice and have a heated pool. The park had a lot of seniors and not many kids, but there were some. Another person reviewing this RV park stated they had a problem with a car being towed. There is a big sign when you enter stating that everyone, even visitors must check in at the office. There are no trees but we had fog and cool days while we were there. We enjoyed all the friendly TV people and would stay there again. They are about five blocks from many restaurants and shopping. There are lights and crosswalks to get across highway one to the shops and beach. We had no problem.

We liked this park. It was quiet and we had a full view of the creek with the ducks landing all of the time. The owners were friendly and ready to help when we had a sewer hook up problem. It is an older park and the sewer hook up is near the road and several inches higher than the dirt. I noticed several motor homes had to pull in & not back in so they could hook up to the sewer. We ended up purchasing a longer sewer hose to solve the problem. If you go be sure to walk to the end of the road to see the beautiful water falls that they show on line. The spaces are close. The park was only half full so this wasn't a problem. We plan to return in the fall when they have cool weather.

We have stayed twice at this location. It has big spaces and is quiet. We got into a problem with a reservation over Memorial Day weekend. We drove within 10 miles of the RV park when we got into snow. I was afraid I would get stuck, so we turned around. We arrived home three hours later and I called and canceled. Since it was a holiday they kept one day fee and $10.00. They allowed us to reschedule the other two days during the week. We accepted and went a few weeks later. The park is clean and the people there were very friendly. We would definitely go back. The elevation is about 6800 feet. A lot of the sites don't have a lot of trees so be sure to have something for extra shade during the summer afternoons. There is no TV hookup or newspapers.
